The 2024 Distinguished Parent Award is given to a parent whose contribution to gifted education has been exemplary.
To qualify, the nominee should be:
- A consistent advocate of appropriate programming for gifted students
- One who has had an impact on gifted education in Pennsylvania through outstanding leadership and/or creative innovation either at the local affiliate or state level
- One who has harnessed the energy and support of teachers, administrators, and parents for the benefit of students
